today was supposed to be the day I had my self portrait with an Olympic torch, but alas, it was too frigging cold. This is a "checking the camera shot" before the Torch run. Me, Aidan and my co-worker bestest buddy Jackie. She looked Aidan while I played photographer.

Another co-worker got to run with the flame and I tried to get a good a shot of her carrying it. I had three camera, and about 10 extra batteries just in case. With all my precautions, I never really gave much thought to the actual temperature, which with the windchill was about minus 35 degress Celsius. The cameras kept freezing on me, so my nice artist beautiful shots were not ~ so sad :(

On our way Aidan and I were lucky to get stuck in traffic and got to see the torch at home in Brandon. I tried to get a photo of it as they ran past, but that one didn't turn out either.

I really must practice night photography and freezing cold photography!
